From Monday 11/9 - Friday 12/4, John Hay CARES will host a Holiday Donation Drive to benefit Treehouse, a non-profit that serves Seattle foster youth. A letter will go home this week with more information, or find out more about the John Hay Elementary Cares program at the school.

All you have to do to participate is:

    • Read the letter in your child's red folder. This will explain what their class is collecting.
    • Send new & unwrapped items to school with your student, and
    • Students drop items into the classroom collection bag.
    • You may also send cash, and the CARES team will purchase items on your behalf.

Thanks for your generosity!

Sign up to help at the Weekend Food for Kids (WFK) packing parties, we sort and pack food items into bags that will be delivered to local schools for children who may otherwise not get enough food to eat over the weekends. Packing parties usually do not take more than an hour and are generally held on alternating Thursday evenings. Kids are welcome to come with their parents! The Weekend Food for Kids program is a partnership between Queen Anne Helpline, the Ballard Food Bank, and Queen Anne Presbyterian Church.

Perishable items (yogurt, string cheese, hummus) are also available. The bags are delivered to school for students to take home over the weekend.
