2020-2021 UPDATES

Each school year the John Hay Staff and John Hay PTO request that every family donate $50 for school supplies. Extra donations are optional and appreciated.

If this presents a hardship for your family, please donate what you are able. This school year teachers are purchasing additional supplies to provide student with individual materials (as sharing is not an option).

Making a single donation:

  • Eliminates the need for families to purchase supplies individually...saving time and money.
  • Provides teachers with the exact material that are needed for their instruction.
  • Give all students an equal opportunity to succeed with just the right tools.


The supply fee will be used to purchase: 

  • 2-4 additional pocket folders
  • post-its, paper, lined paper, index cards
  • Quick Words dictionary
  • Scissors, glue sticks
  • a weekly news magazine like Time for Kids
  • dry erase markers
  • red/purple pens/black
  • pencil sharpener, ruler, erasers
  • envelopes and file folders for research
  • crayons, markers, highlighters, sharpies, colored pencils, pencils, pens
  • science notebooks, spiral notebooks, composition books,
  • a variety of supplies used for class projects

Please include your child/children's names in the note field. If you would like to pay by check, you can drop it off at the school at your upcoming student material pick-up time. Thank you!!


The administration has emailed families a scheduled time for you to come by and pick up lots of supplies. (K-2 is getting iPads and 3rd-5th is getting laptops.)
